Deputies fatally shot a man who tried to flee from them during a bicycle traffic stop in Lancaster last night. One man is dead and two others are seriously injured after their car tumbled 500 feet off the side of the Angeles Crest Highway into a ravine in the Angeles National Forest. The two-week long DineLA Restaurant Week starts Sunday, with dozens of Beverly Hills and Los Angeles eateries offering specially priced three-course meals. The special menus are available until Feb. 3, except on Saturdays. This is the fifth year of the festival, in which participating eateries offer three-course lunches for $16, $22 or $28, depending upon the restaurant’s usual price range at the eatery. Dinners are offered for $26, $34 or $44.
