Los Angeles firefighters rescued a man and his dog who survived after tumbling 150 feet down a steep cliff in Lake View Terrace this afternoon. The 19-year-old man had been hiking with his father who tossed a bottle off the trail in the Valley. A man who shot nine people at a salon in Seal Beach this afternoon was the husband of one of the salon’s employees, according to another employee who worked at the salon. In the clip above, actor and activist Danny Glover surprised Occupy LA demonstrators on Saturday in front of Downtown’s City Hall. In the sweltering heat of the afternoon (it is certainly not fall yet in Los Angeles), Glover says participating on the weekends is not enough. âWe need 24/7 warriors,â he cries out at the end of his speech.
