Motorcyclist Not Seriously Injured in Santa Monica Blvd. Collision

A man was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries last week when he crashed his motorcycle into a car in Beverly Hills. A lone male was riding a yellow Suzuki motorcycle eastbound on North Santa Monica Boulevard at about 5 p.m. Friday when it collided with a white Mercedes-Benz. The car was turning left from westbound North Santa Monica Boulevard onto southbound North Crescent Drive when the impact occurred, according to Lt. Shan Davis of the Beverly Hills Police Department . The driver of the Mercedes was the only person in the car and reportedly did not sustain any injuries. Last week a Patch reader sent in a photo of the accident, in which pieces of a yellow motorcycle can be seen strewn across the road. Police Pursuit Ends In Fatal Crash

At 1:00 am Saturday morning, 21-year-old Alexander M. Savage died after losing control of his motorcycle at the intersection of Highway 501 and Broadway Street in Myrtle Beach. Horry County Police Public Information Officer Sgt. Robert Kegler says Savage left the scene of the accident earlier in the night. Police later pulled him over, but Savage stopped on a bridge. Kegler goes on to say the officer allowed him to move to a safer place but Savage did not stop again and fled. That chase resulted in the accident. Savage is one of five people who died on the road Saturday night.

Dallas FOX 4 news helicopter, SKY 4 captured a police chase involving a suspect on a Harley. The suspect had a federal warrant and had been under surveillance. He led police through the streets and highways of Fort Worth and Arlington. The audio in this video is what SKY 4 photographer Mike is listening to during the chase. The audio contains off-air, air traffic, Mike’s voice, the pilot’s voice, ad the news producer. You will hear Mike’s live reporting, as well as the news anchor.
