LA Kings defeat Philadelphia Flyers 3-2 (OT) . It is hard to blame the Kings for not playing their best hockey. They opened the season playing two games in Europe and are finishing two games on the East Coast. In fact they haven’t been in Southern California since Sept. 30. But the Kings dug in and snuck out of the Wells Fargo Center with the win with the aid of the returning son Mike Richards. more › See more here: LAst Night’s Action: Kings Dig Deep in Philly

DENVER — Authorities say an American Airlines flight from New York to Los Angeles was diverted to Denver after a drunken passenger hit a flight attendant in the face and yelled threats. Varoujan Khodjamirian (vahr-OO’-jan kawd-juh-mir-EE’-an) has been charged with interfering with a flight crew. An affidavit says flight attendants had to restrain him with flexible cuffs, and two sat on him until Flight 21 landed Thursday night. The affidavit alleges the man got loud and disruptive after drinking alcohol. Flight attendants reseated two people who were next to him, and when he began kicking seats in front of him, they moved him to the back row. The man is then accused of striking a flight attendant and yelling obscenities and threats, including, “I will beat you all down and kill you.” Court records don’t list a hometown or attorney for the man. I know I’ve told this story before, but I don’t remember if I’ve written it here before. So if you’ve heard it before, please indulge me because I don’t really want to write about the possibility of Boise State playing in the Big East Conference or dismissed South Carolina quarterback Stephen Garcia being hinted at being part of a point-shaving scandal or the potential Conference USA-Mountain West Conference football merger. more › See original here: College Football Schedule Week 7: LSU, Tennessee and Ryan Theriot
