Kings Burned by Flames in Shootout

As the Kings started their just completed road trip with a Sutter Brothers showdown, they started their four-game home stand with a rematch. While the first matchup was a 4-1 victory for the Kings up in the wasteland of Calgary last week, the rematch was less than inspiring as the Kings lost 2-1 in a shootout. more › Here is the original post: Kings Burned by Flames in Shootout

Kings Refuse to Lose (In Regulation)

Along with Ken Hitchcock of the St. Louis Blues, the only other head coaching change of the seven in the NHL this season that has worked out is Darryl Sutter with the Kings. Along with the Kings’ 3-2 road shootout victory over the Vancouver Canucks Tuesday night, the Kings are now 8-1-5 since Sutter took over the reins on December 20. more › Read the original here: Kings Refuse to Lose (In Regulation)

It’s Getting Ugly at STAPLES Center

In New Orleans the nation watched as the Saints performed an offensive clinic in the second half dispatching the Detroit Lions 45-28 in the wild card round of the NFL Playoffs. That offensive mojo obviously did not visit the STAPLES Center today with the Kings losing in regulation for the first time in the Darryl Sutter era 1-0 to the lowly Columbus Blue Jackets and the Clippers edged the Milwaukee Bucks 92-86. more › Continued here: It’s Getting Ugly at STAPLES Center

Kings End 2011 Winning

Kings End 2011 Winning

This was definitely worth staying sober on New Year’s Eve for the first time since I was 16 years old. I was only loaded on coffee, and the only white piles near me were the ice shavings at STAPLES Center. And for the first time this season, the Kings were the team that I envisioned them to be before the season started in their 4-1 beatdown of the Vancouver Canucks under the weighty gaze of Gene Simmons. more › View original post here: Kings End 2011 Winning

Kings Fire Terry Murray, Now What?

Here’s the final sentence I wrote after the Kings’ 2-1 loss to the Dallas Stars on Saturday: “The Kings are a disappointment, and if they’re not careful they might wind up like the Ducks.” Fast-forward two days later, and here they are. more › Link: Kings Fire Terry Murray, Now What?

Kings Overcome Injuries, Chase Panthers For Victory

Sometimes a team loses in the long run despite winning a particular game. Thanks to injuries to Willie Mitchell and Mike Richards in the game, the Kings look like the losers on the ice despite their 2-1 victory over the rarely seen Florida Panthers. more › Link: Kings Overcome Injuries, Chase Panthers For Victory

Kings Just Aren’t That Good

Kings Just Aren’t That Good

The Kings just aren’t that good. They’re good, but they’re not in that upper echelon of Western Conference teams like the Detroit Red Wings, Chicago Blackhawks, San Jose Sharks and Vancouver Canucks especially since they’ve yet to record a win against those four teams so far this season. more › See the article here: Kings Just Aren’t That Good
