After about four years of closure, the historic First Street Bridge has finally reopened as of last Thursday. Los Angeles city officials will gather on the viaduct in celebration Tuesday morning. Closed to accommodate the construction of the Metro Gold Line extension to East L.A., the 82-year-old bridge is one of the L.A. Perhaps taking its cue from environmentalist Leonardo DiCaprio, Los Angeles City Council has preserved nearly 280 acres of land near the Angeles National Golf Club in Lake View Terrace.
