An Ohio police chase ended with a deadly shootout. Investigators say Ricky Diamond Junior, 22, took off after a domestic dispute on Tuesday and officers went after him. The dash-cam video shows a slow speed chase. It all happened in Union, which is northwest of Dayton. Officers used spikes to puncture the suspect’s tires, but he kept going. Then, another cruiser rammed the truck and a man ran out with a shotgun and gunfire was heard. Diamond was killed in the shootout. Three sheriff’s deputies have been put on leave while the investigation continues.

May 17, 2011 At 3:30 am this morning this morning gunfire broke out on Chrysler Drive near Prescott Road. Modesto Police were already at the scene so when the shooting started the police were able to corner the suspect vehicle quickly. However, the suspects still tried to elude the police leading police to ram the get away vehicle several times with several different police cars. The short chase came to an end at the intersection of Prescott and Chrysler when a Modesto Police Officer T-boned the suspect vehicle. 3 suspects were taken into custody. It was reported that 4 Police cars were wrecked in the pursuit however Modesto News .org only saw two of them. The other two were drivable and received minor damage. No Police officers were hurt and no one was hit by the gunfire. At 1:00 am Saturday morning, 21-year-old Alexander M. Savage died after losing control of his motorcycle at the intersection of Highway 501 and Broadway Street in Myrtle Beach. Horry County Police Public Information Officer Sgt. Robert Kegler says Savage left the scene of the accident earlier in the night. Police later pulled him over, but Savage stopped on a bridge. Kegler goes on to say the officer allowed him to move to a safer place but Savage did not stop again and fled. That chase resulted in the accident. Savage is one of five people who died on the road Saturday night.
