“Ron Paul Anthem” is a politically themed rock song about presidential candidate Ron Paul by singer-songwriter Aimee Allen from Los Angeles, California. A popular rock single in support of the Republican candidate, “Ron Paul Anthem” encourages the starting of a revolution in honor of the U.S. Constitution . Judging by the sheer number of emails demanding that Aimee Allen’s rock anthem be featured on Californiality , there are either a lot of punk rockers coming out of the closet, or there are an awful lot of Ron Paul supporters. Regardless, “Ron Paul Anthem” is a hit.

California has regained its status as a ‘magnet state,’ according to the new Allied Van Lines’ annual Magnet States Report that shows California back on the inbound list after a decade on the outbound. Once again, waves of people are moving to California for perfect weather, endless opportunities and unrestricted personal freedom — in record numbers. The 2011 Allied U.S. migration pattern tracking report shows the Golden State skyrocketing up 33 positions to #7 in the nation as the fellow magnet state of Texas shows its momentum slowing. California is the Allied report’s shocker of the year. After dismal performance on the inbound list for more than a decade (and being the #1 outbound state twice during the same period), California has made a giant leap onto the inbound list at #7. California’s dramatic turnaround back to a strong inbound state is attributed to the state’s increase in company expansions and strong overall job growth. “In the last year, one out of every six new jobs created in the U.S. was created in California, which is more than any other state in the nation,” declared Deputy Director Brook Taylor of the California Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development. California also regained its title as the “most mobile state” with 12,000 interstate moves and the biggest volume of inbound and outbound shipments by Allied Van Lines . Additionally, the company’s report shows a strong demand for moving vans by ex-Californians wanting to move back to California from many states, including Texas. “We see the news from California as a bellwether for positive movement in the future for states that have seen hard times in this economy,” said Allied Van Lines Vice President Bill Lyon , who called 2011 “a turning point year for California.” California, Here They Come! Southern California firefighters battled 12 more arson fires at carports this morning in the cities of Los Angeles and West Hollywood as police detectives question a person of interest. Authorities suspect that today’s fires could be connected to 48 other terrorizing blazes in L.A. County communities, including: Downtown Hollywood Hollywood Hills West Hollywood Fairfax Los Feliz North Hollywood Sherman Oaks Valley Glen Sun Valley Los Angeles The rash of L.A. area car fire incidents now totals 60 fires, including the blaze that torched the former home of rock star Jim Morrison of The Doors. It is the worst arson fire outbreak since the 1992 Los Angeles Riots. The LAPD, the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department, the LAFD, the L.A. County Fire Department and the Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are all working together on the Los Angeles Metro arson fires cases. A reward of $60,000 has been offered for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of arsonists involved in what many are suggesting could be a conspiratorial case of domestic terrorism. DENVER — Danilo Gallinari scored 20 points, Ty Lawson had 17 points and 10 assists and the Denver Nuggets beat the Los Angeles Lakers 99-90 on Sunday night. Nene had 13 points for the Nuggets, who avenged a three-point loss to the Lakers in Los Angeles less than 24 hours earlier. Pau Gasol had 20 points and 11 rebounds and Andrew Bynum had 18 points and 16 rebounds for the Lakers. Kobe Bryant scored 16 points on 6-of-28 shooting. After a seesaw battle for most of the final period, the Nuggets scored the final 11 points to pull out the win. Gallinari scored two fast-break layups to give Denver a two-point lead with 2:07 left. After Gasol missed a short turnaround jumper, Lawson’s layup gave the Nuggets a 94-90 lead with 1:20 left. Bryant missed a 3-pointer from the top of the circle and Harrington hit a 12-foot jumper to make it 96-90 with 49 seconds left. The Lakers took a 90-88 lead on Bryant’s layup with 2:47 left and didn’t score again. Trailing by 11 at halftime, the Lakers came out strong in the third quarter. Bynum scored seven points in the first four minutes, including a three-point play that tied it at 50-all. Denver didn’t hit its first field goal of the second half until Lawson’s drive gave the Nuggets the lead back with 7:03 left. Gallinari followed with Denver’s first 3-pointer of the game to make it 55-50. Denver’s lead grew to nine late in the third before the Lakers made another run to pull to 72-71 heading into the fourth. Bryant missed his first five shots and committed two offensive fouls before sitting in the final minute of the first quarter. He returned midway through the second, hit a 3-pointer but missed his next four. The Lakers team didn’t fare any better. Los Angeles missed its last 11 shots of the first half and shot just 32 percent at the break. The Nuggets struggled from the field, too, missing all nine of their 3-point shots before the break, but they surged at the end of the second quarter. Leading 39-36, Al Harrington hit four free throws and had a nice interior pass to set up a dunk by Chris Andersen that helped Denver take a 47-36 lead at halftime. NOTES: Denver was 2 for 18 from 3-point range. … The Lakers have played six games in the first eight days of the season, including three in three nights to open the schedule. … Lawson has scored in double figures in four of Denver’s first five games. … Denver came into Sunday second in scoring in the NBA but 24th in 3-point shooting. This was definitely worth staying sober on New Year’s Eve for the first time since I was 16 years old. I was only loaded on coffee, and the only white piles near me were the ice shavings at STAPLES Center. And for the first time this season, the Kings were the team that I envisioned them to be before the season started in their 4-1 beatdown of the Vancouver Canucks under the weighty gaze of Gene Simmons. more › View original post here: Kings End 2011 Winning
