Ilya Zhitomirskiy , founder of the Facebook rival Diaspora , was found dead in San Francisco, California at age 22. Diaspora, the privacy-aware, user-controlled social network, was founded in response to criticism of Facebook’s handling of its users’ privacy. The cause of Ilya Zhitomirskiy’s death is yet to be determined by the San Francisco coroner’s office, which said it will take weeks.
