Brad Goreski And Gary Janetti Play ‘Plead The Fifth’ With Andy Cohen

January 31, 2012

Stylist Brad Goreski had his boyfriend, ” Will & Grace ” writer/producer Gary Janetti , a little worried when the pair agreed to play “Plead the Fifth” on ” Watch What Happens Live ” (Weeknights, 11 p.m. EST on Bravo). Host Andy Cohen asked, “Tell us one unflattering thing about Gary we would be surprised to hear.” To which Brad replied, “He loves getting blowouts.” A worried-looking Gary obviously thought Brad was going to say something else and just about exploded in relief when he heard the word “blowout.” Then, Cohen asked Brad to name a celebrity he would refuse to style. Diplomatically, Brad replied, “My door’s always open.” When Gary was in the hot seat, Cohen asked him “Will or Grace?” The answer: Will, natch . But Gary showed he could be just as diplomatic as Brad when asked what was the worst project he’d ever written for. He plead the fifth on that. Watch Andy and his guests in the Bravo clubhouse on “Watch What Happens Live,” Weeknights at 11 p.m. EST on Bravo. TV Replay scours the vast television landscape to find the most interesting, amusing, and, on a good day, amazing moments, and delivers them right to your browser. AD 50 Candidate Osborn Lures Donors With Weho Mayor’s Outburst Video

January 31, 2012

Torie Osborn doesn’t seem too upset about the  pretty nasty outburst  West Hollywood Mayor John Duran made at last Wednesday’s West Hollywood-Beverly Hills Democratic Club endorsement meeting in Weho. In fact, Osborn is now asking viewers of the  video  showing Duran’s interruption to pay up. A recent campaign email titled “VIRAL VIDEO: WeHo Mayor Threatens Me” includes the tagline, “Click here to see the video—and help us turn this shocking incident into a campaign opportunity,” linking directly to Osborn’s ActBlue fundraising page . Next to the embedded YouTube clip, a message on the page reads: “Watch the video on the right, and then donate $3 below to help us fight these attacks and advance our grassroots momentum!” By the time the 50th Assembly District candidate won the endorsement—at the end of the nearly three-hour meeting last week—Duran could no longer contain his frustration. Storming out, he said, “West Hollywood will not forget this,” plus a few choice words. Osborn told Patch after the meeting: “We’re in it to win it. I have a grass-roots army that’s working with me. … People joining clubs in order to vote for who they vote for is part of the grass roots. It just is part of the tactics. People do it all the time. I’m proud of my troops.” A representative from Osborn’s campaign did not immediately respond for an updated comment. Beverly Hills is joining the  newly created 50th Assembly District  in the November 2012 election due to redistricting. Until then the city is represented by Mike Feuer as part of the 42nd Assembly District. Be sure to follow  Beverly Hills  Patch on  Twitter  and “Like” us on  Facebook . The Shutter : Gonpachi Finally Says Sayonara to La Cienega Tomorrow

Kozo Hasegawa , creator of Global Dining which operates Gonpachi both in Beverly Hills and Torrance (in addition to Monsoon, La Boheme, and countless eateries in Japan), has finally decided to end the life of his almost five-year-old La Cienega Japanese eatery effective tomorrow . Can’t say this is an entire shocker , although Gonpachi did put forth a valiant effort by introducing a new menu and bring in Marcel Vigneron to cook . Buttt what’s on tap for the future? We’re told the Torrance branch of Gonpachi is going strong, so nothing to report on over there. As for the Beverly Hills space, Kozo is hanging on to the restaurant with potential plans to roll out a Test Kitchen-esque pop-up dining concept. More to come. &#183 Rumormongering [~ELA~] &#183 Eater Deathwatch: Gonpachi [~ELA~] &#183 Pre-Deathwatch: Gonpachi, Again [~ELA~] Read the rest here: The Shutter : Gonpachi Finally Says Sayonara to La Cienega Tomorrow

Welcome Nick Frazee, New Patch Advertising Manager

January 30, 2012

Nicholas Frazee is Patch’s new advertising manager for Beverly Hills, Hollywood, West Hollywood and Westwood-Century City. Frazee recently moved to the Los Angeles area after working as an advertising manager for Patch in Connecticut. He joined Patch in January after working in local television. Frazee has also held sales positions with various companies, ranging from website startups to health care businesses. In his free time, Frazee enjoys hockey, skiing and surfing. You can see him around Beverly Hills, Hollywood, West Hollywood, Westwood and Century City, introducing Patch to businesses and consumers alike. Feel free to say hi, and ask him about your Patch! Here’s a little bit about Frazee: Patch:  As an advertising manager, what’s the best part of your job? Nicholas Frazee:  Meeting local residents and business owners, and impressing them with Patch. It’s always amazing either to hear the “I love Patch!” response, or see that great “Ah-hah!” look of discovery as I find new users. The best is when I get to say, “Hey, how about your family, where do they live? Let’s find their Patch and see what’s going on!” That might be my favorite.  Patch:  What’s the best way for people to contact you about advertising on Patch? Frazee :  In person is always best. As an ambassador for Patch, I’m always at chamber events and local happenings. However, Patch has kept its people well stocked with technology. I always have my iPhone with me: 310-721-5825; and email is great too: Nick.Frazee@Patch.com.  Patch:  What do you find special about Patch? Frazee :  Patch is more than anything a resource; a tremendous asset for a community to learn more about their news, events and businesses, and to contribute back. It’s a two-way conversation every day and I have been so excited watching it become a part of the fabric of people’s lives. Did you check your Patch today? Patch:  What are your personal interests? What are you looking forward to most in your new surroundings? Frazee :  My nickname at Patch is “Iceman” since I play hockey and ski. I can’t wait to take some long weekends to Utah! More than anything, I’m pschyed for the surf. This is the closest I’ve lived to the beach, and I’ve already hit up Venice Beach and Malibu.
