Hold the Chocolate Cardamom Cream Cake. Short Cake is currently down and out. According to the bakeshop’s website , “Due to unplanned power outage, we are temporarily closed. DWP has not yet provided an eta for restoring service.” PR says that DWP’s transformers at 3rd and Fairfax blew last night at around 7PM . However, word just in that power should resume later today and Short Cake is expected to reopen doors this evening.
