Los Angeles: Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) Harbor Division Robbery Detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying a robbery suspect whose images were captured on surveillance video committing a robbery at business in the Wilmington area of Los Angeles. On August 23, 2012, around 8:50 am, a man entered a business located in the 1100 block of Avalon Boulevard and robbed the store employee, using a knife. The suspect took cash from the register and from the employee. The suspect stabbed the employee when the employee attempted to stop him then ran away from the scene. The suspect may have of committed five additional robberies in the Wilmington Area. The suspect is described as a 20 to 30-year-old Hispanic male. He stands 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs about 200 pounds. He was wearing a black baseball cap, gray sweatshirt and black pants. Anyone with information on this crime or the suspect, is urged to call LAPD’s Harbor Area Robbery Detectives at 310-726-7757.During non-business hours or on weekends, calls should be directed to 1-877-LAPD-24-7 (877-527-3247). Pedestrian, Struck by 2 Cars, Dies After Hit-and-Run in Exposition Park

LAPD South Traffic Division detectives are searching for a driver who struck and killed a 62-year-old pedestrian on Monday morning then fled from the scene. Larry Dean Hughes, a Los Angeles resident, was walking southbound on a crosswalk on Normandie Avenue at Exposition Boulevard around 5am when a driver traveling northbound on Normandie turned right on Exposition and hit Hughes with his car.
