Los Angeles: Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) Harbor Division Robbery Detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying a robbery suspect whose images were captured on surveillance video committing a robbery at business in the Wilmington area of Los Angeles. On August 23, 2012, around 8:50 am, a man entered a business located in the 1100 block of Avalon Boulevard and robbed the store employee, using a knife. The suspect took cash from the register and from the employee. The suspect stabbed the employee when the employee attempted to stop him then ran away from the scene. The suspect may have of committed five additional robberies in the Wilmington Area. The suspect is described as a 20 to 30-year-old Hispanic male. He stands 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs about 200 pounds. He was wearing a black baseball cap, gray sweatshirt and black pants. LAPD Harbor Division Robbery Detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying a robbery suspect whose images were captured on surveillance video committing two robberies in the San Pedro area. On July 1, 2012, around 9:15 pm, a male Hispanic suspect entered a business located in the 300 block of Gaffey St and robbed the store employee, using a knife. The suspect took cash from the employee then fled the location on foot. On July 9, 2012, around 6:20 pm, the same suspect entered a business located in the 700 block of South Pacific Ave and robbed the store employee, using a knife. The suspect took cash and merchandise from the employee then fled the location. The suspect is described as a male Hispanic, about 20 to 25-years-old, stands 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs about 170 pounds. He was wearing white or silver rimmed sunglasses, a black t-shirt and black pants. Los Angeles: Detectives are asking for the public’s help to identify a robber who stole two Rolex watches from a jewelry shop inside of a mall in Century City. On May 10, 2012, around 4:50 pm, LAPD West Los Angeles officers received a call of a robbery at a mall in the 10200 block of Santa Monica Boulevard. When the officers arrived, they immediately checked for the safety of the employees and searched the area for possible suspects. The officers were unable to locate any suspect in the vicinity. A security guard suffering from minor injuries, was treated at the scene by LAFD Rescue personnel. After a thorough investigation detectives believe a man walked into the jewelry store and asked one of the employees to look at some watches. When the employee presented the watches, the suspect grabbed one watch from the tray and forced the second watch from the employee’s hand. He then ran towards the exit and was tackled by a security guard. The suspect managed to break free and ran southbound through the mall and out toward Constellation Boulevard. The suspect is described as a 23 to 26-year-old male African American. He stands between 5’4 and 5’6 inches tall and weighs between 130 and 145 pounds. The two watches are valued at $64900.00. Los Angeles: LAPD West Los Angeles Division detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that will lead to the arrest of a suspect who robbed a convenience store in West Los Angeles area. On September 1, 2011, around 2:15 am, an African-American male entered the “7 Eleven” located in the 11650 block of Wilshire Boulevard. Once he is inside the store, he pointed a handgun at two customers standing to the rear of the store. The suspect ordered the customers to the ground. The suspect proceeded to point the handgun at an employee behind the counter and demanded money from a cash register. The suspect gave the employee a blue bag (possible pillowcase) to put the money in. Once the suspect’s demands were met, he ran from the store in an unknown direction with an undisclosed amount of money in the blue bag. The “7 Eleven” was equipped with a CCTV (Closed Circuit Television) system that captured the robbery on video. The suspect is described as an African-American male that appeared to be 20-25 years of age. He stands about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds. The suspect was last seen wearing a black and gray hooded sweatshirt, black jeans, black gloves and black ski mask. The suspect is to be considered ARMED and DANGEROUS! Los Angeles: LAPD West Los Angeles Division detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that will lead to the arrest of a suspect responsible for a robbery in the West LA Area. On August 14, at around 11 pm, an African-American male entered the “Service Station of the Stars” located in the 9400 block of East Pico Boulevard. The suspect walked up to an employee, pulled out a blue-steel semi automatic hand gun and demanded that the employee put the money in a black plastic bag. Once the suspect’s demands were met, he ran from the station in an unknown direction. The service station was equipped with a CCTV system that captured the robbery on video. The suspect is described as an African-American male that appeared to be 25-30 years-old. He stood about 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighs about 160 pounds. The suspect was last seen wearing a black sleeveless hoodie, lime-green shirt, and black jeans.
