Los Angeles: Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) Harbor Division Robbery Detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying a robbery suspect whose images were captured on surveillance video committing a robbery at business in the Wilmington area of Los Angeles. On August 23, 2012, around 8:50 am, a man entered a business located in the 1100 block of Avalon Boulevard and robbed the store employee, using a knife. The suspect took cash from the register and from the employee. The suspect stabbed the employee when the employee attempted to stop him then ran away from the scene. The suspect may have of committed five additional robberies in the Wilmington Area. The suspect is described as a 20 to 30-year-old Hispanic male. He stands 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs about 200 pounds. He was wearing a black baseball cap, gray sweatshirt and black pants. Hit & Run Driver Sought After Seriously Injuring Man in Crosswalk NR11370kr

Los Angeles: A 68-year-old man was critically injured while walking in a crosswalk after being struck by a sports utility vehicle. The driver never stopped. On the evening of Sunday, July 31, 2011, at about 8:20 pm, a motorist in a black 1990 Ford Expedition traveling northbound on Western Avenue struck the victim who was walking in the crosswalk northbound on 48th Street. The motorist failed to stop to render aid or identify themselves as required by law. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he is being treated for serious injuries that include two collapsed lungs, multiple broken ribs and head trauma. Detectives are asking anyone with information about this incident to contact South Traffic Division Detective Section, Investigator Jones at 323-421-2500. Suspect Sought in Service Station Robbery

Los Angeles: LAPD West Los Angeles Division detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that will lead to the arrest of a suspect responsible for a robbery in the West LA Area. On August 14, at around 11 pm, an African-American male entered the “Service Station of the Stars” located in the 9400 block of East Pico Boulevard. The suspect walked up to an employee, pulled out a blue-steel semi automatic hand gun and demanded that the employee put the money in a black plastic bag. Once the suspect’s demands were met, he ran from the station in an unknown direction. The service station was equipped with a CCTV system that captured the robbery on video. The suspect is described as an African-American male that appeared to be 25-30 years-old. He stood about 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighs about 160 pounds. The suspect was last seen wearing a black sleeveless hoodie, lime-green shirt, and black jeans.
