Beverly Hills police were led on a car chase Friday that ended when the suspect lost control while driving at the La Brea Avenue exit of the eastbound Santa Monica Freeway. Officers had conducted a warrant check on the vehicle involved in the chase at about 5:40 p.m. on South La Cienega Boulevard and Gregory Way in Beverly Hills. The warrant “came back as an armed and dangerous vehicle,” BHPD Lt. Lincoln Hoshino said. “The officers attempted to perform a stop and the suspect fled.” After losing control of the vehicle, the suspect fled on foot. He was caught and taken into custody without further incident around 5:50 p.m., Hoshino said. This report was compiled with information from City News Service. A police dog apprehended a naked man on the run in Whittier, California on Saturday night. According to the Telegraph , the man had stolen a Hummer and was being chased by police cars when he decided to abandon the vehicle . When he emerged from the car, he wasn’t wearing clothes. He was quickly captured by the police dog in what looks like a very unpleasant experience. This suspect isn’t the only criminal to break the law in the nude. GTA Style Police Chase In Texas
Pasadena police say they were already following two men who ended up leading them on a chase through the city. Detectives said they caught the pair trying to break into a bait vehicle and the men took off. The officers followed the men for two miles as they swerved into oncoming traffic and sped through construction zones. The chase ended when the suspect vehicle rear-ended another car at a gas station located at Pasadena Blvd. and Jackson. At that point, they tried to get away on foot. Police arrested one suspect immediately and found the other, an hour later, hiding under a house located in the 900 block of Whitaker at Witter Street.

Hotel Robber Nabbed by Good Samaritans Visiting Los Angeles for Martial Arts Tournament
Los Angeles: On November 2, 2011, at around 11:40 pm, Rampart Division officers responded to a radio call of an “Assault suspect armed with a gun” at a hotel located in the 300 block of N. Vermont Avenue. When the officer’s arrived, they saw a man on the ground being held by two citizens. Shortly before police arrived, the desk clerk at a local hotel took notice of a man with a back pack who walked into the lobby and began to suspiciously look around. He asked the clerk about the price of a room, and then pointed a gun at him and demanded money. The suspect walked around the counter where the clerk stood and told him to open the cash register. The clerk, fearing he was going to be shot, opened the register and gave the suspect money. During the robbery, an elevator door opened, and two hotel guests who happened to be martial arts experts visiting Los Angeles from Oregon for a martial arts’ tournament heard the clerk’s cry for help and immediately took action. The pair grabbed the suspect who was holding a gun in his right hand. During the tussle with the suspect, the Good Samaritans repeatedly asked him to drop the gun and stop struggling. The pair was finally able to wrestle the gun from the suspect and took him to the ground with a leg sweep and then held him on the ground until Rampart Division officers arrived. Burglar in Bel Air Hills Caught on Tape
Public’s Help Requested to Identify Suspect Los Angeles: A security surveillance system has captured a burglary suspect breaking into and burglarizing a house in the Bel Air Hills area of Los Angeles. On Monday, October 3, 2011, at around 9 pm, surveillance cameras captured a suspect smashing a rear window and entering a house in the 2000 block of Coldwater Canyon Boulevard. The suspect is a 25- to 35-year-old African-American male with black hair who stands 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall. He weighs 150 to 160 pounds and was wearing a shirt with the letters “FLYS” on the front. The suspect took jewelry and cash with an estimated value of $122800 and is believed to be a serial burglar responsible for numerous thefts from recent months throughout upscale areas of West Los Angeles, Southern San Fernando Valley and the Hollywood Hills. Detectives need the public’s help to identify the suspect and stop his prolific crimes. They also believe others are working with the suspect to commit the burglaries.
