LAPD Robbery-Homicide Detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying two possible murder suspects whose images were captured on a surveillance video leaving the store of a murder in Hollywood. On June 24, 2010, around 9:00 pm, two men entered a medical marijuana clinic located in the 1600 block of North El Centro Avenue, Hollywood. The suspects entered the clinic, stabbed the victim repeatedly, and left the location with about $3000.00 worth of marijuana and the closed-circuit recording equipment. Despite numerous interviews and man hours, no one has come forward with any information that would assist in developing leads in this murder investigation. Los Angeles Councilman Eric Garcetti received approval for a reward in the amount of $50000.00 to be offered to anyone for information leading to the identification, apprehension, and conviction of the persons responsible for the death of Mr. Ila Packman. The suspects are described as two males. Los Angeles: LAPD Central Area Detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying two robbery suspects whose images were captured on surveillance video committing a robbery at Subway restaurant. On Monday October 1, 2012, two unidentified male suspects entered the location in the 700 block of N. Main Street and ordered a sandwich. Upon reaching the cash register, suspect #1 pulled out a handgun from his waistband and pointed it at the cashier demanding money. Suspect #2, standing by, told the cashier, “You’re taking too long!” Fearing for her life the cashier handed the money to suspect 1, after which both men took the money and left the store. Suspect #1 is described as a male Hispanic, 18-20 years old, with a shaved head about 5 feet 9 inches tall. He weighs about 160 pounds and has a tattoo of “LA” above his eyebrow and an unknown tattoo on his right ear lobe. Suspect #2 is described as a male Hispanic, 35-40 years old, with a shaved head about 5 feet 6 inches tall. He weighs about 180 pounds and has a tattoos on both arms. Both suspects are considered armed and dangerous. Scott County Attorney Mike Walton has cleared three Davenport police officers of any wrongdoing in the Aug. 7 shooting of an 18-year-old man on the Centennial Bridge. Walton said Thursday that the three officers — Sgt. Greg Behning, Detective Epigminio Canas and Officer Sam Miller — shot Michael Linn Cross as he tried to run them over with his vehicle in an attempt to break free from a blockade of police vehicles. “When you don’t stop after officers try to stop you, bad things are going to happen,” Walton said. “Mr. Cross raised the level of danger for everyone involved. He endangered the lives of officers, he endangered the lives of civilians, and he endangered his own life.” Walton showed video from a squad car’s dashboard camera. The video showed Cross crashing his Chevy Blazer into an unmarked police van at the base of the bridge in Davenport shortly after midnight. He then put his vehicle in reverse and struck another unmarked vehicle that attempted to box him in. A marked squad car with lights flashing also attempted to block him. The three officers fired their weapons at Cross’s vehicle as he rapidly accelerated forward. Walton said the officers fired six rounds, and Cross sustained three gunshot wounds that were not life-threatening. The incident on the bridge lasted 1.03 seconds, Davenport Police Maj. Los Angeles: Detectives are asking for the public’s help to identify two armed suspects who robbed a sandwich shop in Boyle Heights. On July 2, 2012, around 1:35 am, two men entered a restaurant in the 1800 block of Cesar Chavez Avenue. The first suspect jumped onto the counter, as the second suspect pointed a handgun at the employees and a lone customer. The first suspect jumped down and demanded money from the cash register while the second suspect continued to act as a look out. After receiving the money from the cash register, the suspects left the sandwich shop. The first suspect is described as male Black who stands 5’08”, and weighs approximately 140 lbs. He appeared to be 30 to 40-years-old with acne scars on cheeks. The second suspect is described as a male Black who stands 6’3″, and weighs approximately 210 lbs. He appeared to be 28 to 30-years-old with a goatee mustache and wore prescription black framed glasses. The restaurant’s surveillance camera captured the robbery on tape. VIDEO: Wisconsin State Patrol releases dash cam of police chase
KENOSHA — The Wisconsin State Patrol and the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department each released dash cam video on Tuesday, May 15th of the multi-county chase that ended in Kenosha back on May 9th. Raw video can be seen just below. Milwaukee police say the pursuit began at 9:48 am after a citizen called in the description of the vehicle involved in a burglary near 51st and Good Hope. Officers called off that pursuit at 9:58 am when it was determined the chase could possibly jeopardize public safety. Moments after the chase was called off, Menomonee Falls police found the van near Woodman’s and tried to pull it over. The van took off down Highway 45. Menomonee Falls police pursed the suspects until Watertown Plank Rd. That’s when the Wisconsin State Patrol as well as deputies from Milwaukee, Racine and Kenosha got involved. Once in Kenosha County, Dept. of Transportation highway cameras showed the left front tire on the white minivan was deflated. “He successfully spiked the vehicle. The left front tire slowly deflated, and the driver felt he couldn’t get away anymore and he pulled over into the median and stopped,” State Patrol Officer Mark Barlar said. The suspects were taken into custody by the Wisconsin State Patrol. The southbound lanes of I-94 were shut down while the arrests were made. Two sheriff’s departments were on the scene as the arrests were made, totaling seven squad cars. Wisconsin State Patrol Inspector Bradley Ocain was leading the chase on I-94. “With that …
