Residential Burglars Caught on Video NR13075am
Los Angeles: On February 21, 2013, around 3 pm, three males burglarized a residence near 3rd Street and Walker Avenue in San Pedro. The suspects’ actions were caught on a nearby surveillance camera just prior to committing the burglary. Detectives were able to obtain a copy of the surveillance video and are asking for the public’s help in identifying any of the suspects. The first two suspects are seen walking side by side, one wearing a white t-shirt, black hooded sweatshirt, gray jeans and carrying a black backpack. The other is wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, black jeans and carrying a brown backpack. The third suspect is walking closely behind wearing a black silk screened t-shirt, black hooded sweatshirt and dark pants. The suspects removed laptops from the victim’s residence. Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department and Van Nuys Area detectives are asking for the public’s help to identify burglary suspects caught on surveillance video. On February 2, 2013, at about 3:50 pm, two suspects entered a jewelry store in the area of Coldwater Canyon Ave and Riverside Drive armed with hammers. Once the suspects entered the business, they started smashing the display cases and removing several watches. The owner tried to stop the suspects but was pushed away by the two suspects. The suspects with the items ran out of the location and into a light colored compact vehicle. The same two suspects were seen on a video in the store the day before posing as customers. Suspect one is described as a Hispanic male, 25-30 years old. He is 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall and weighs about 170 pounds. Suspect two is described as a 20- to 25 year-old Hispanic male. He is about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds. Masked Robbers Steal Money from Church Employees NR12555rf
Los Angeles Police Department Van Nuys Area detectives are asking for the public’s help to apprehend two men who robbed two employees of a local church who were transporting money. On Dec. 3, 2012, at about 3:30 pm, three suspects drove a compact vehicle into a parking lot at Church on the Way on Sherman Way in Van Nuys, got out of their car and confronted the employees as they transported money for the church. The masked robbers also hit one employee on the head as they removed cash from the employees’ vehicle. The suspects then returned to their car driven by the third suspect. After the robbery, the suspects drove south from the location. The only description of their vehicle is a grey, four-door compact with a dealer paper plate on the rear. The suspects are described as 25- to 30-year-old males of unknown ethnicity standing about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing about 130 pounds. All were wearing dark clothing. Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department is asking for the public’s help to identify a robbery suspect who took property from a Sears Department Store and threatened the employees with a knife. On Nov. 13, 2012, at about 1:20 pm, an 18- to 20-year-old man entered a Sears Department Store at 2050 E. Olympic Blvd in Los Angeles, concealed shoes and clothing on his person and left the store without paying for the items. Store employees attempted to stop the suspect in the parking lot, and he threatened them with a six-inch knife. The suspect is described as an Hispanic male about 5 feet 7 inches tall weighing about 150 pounds. He had the initials “LA” tattooed on top of his right hand and was wearing a large, dark-colored jacket and black baseball cap. Los Angeles: LAPD Central Area Detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying two robbery suspects whose images were captured on surveillance video committing a robbery at Subway restaurant. On Monday October 1, 2012, two unidentified male suspects entered the location in the 700 block of N. Main Street and ordered a sandwich. Upon reaching the cash register, suspect #1 pulled out a handgun from his waistband and pointed it at the cashier demanding money. Suspect #2, standing by, told the cashier, “You’re taking too long!” Fearing for her life the cashier handed the money to suspect 1, after which both men took the money and left the store. Suspect #1 is described as a male Hispanic, 18-20 years old, with a shaved head about 5 feet 9 inches tall. He weighs about 160 pounds and has a tattoo of “LA” above his eyebrow and an unknown tattoo on his right ear lobe. Suspect #2 is described as a male Hispanic, 35-40 years old, with a shaved head about 5 feet 6 inches tall. He weighs about 180 pounds and has a tattoos on both arms. Both suspects are considered armed and dangerous.
