Brutal Beating and Robbery of Teenage Girl Captured on Surveillance Camera Los Angeles: An 18-year-old woman was beaten then robbed after walking into the lobby of her apartment building on Tuesday night. Detectives investigating the attack are asking for the public’s help to identify and locate the aggressive and dangerous suspect. On January 8, 2012, around 10:10 pm, a young woman returning to her apartment in the area of Westmoreland and 11th Street was attacked in the lobby of her apartment building. The suspect approached the victim from behind, put his arm around her neck and tried to grab her cell phone. When the victim resisted, the suspect slammed her to the ground and punched her several times in the face and the stomach. The suspect attempted to take her purse, but instead took her cell phone. As the suspect began walking toward the front door, the victim ran after him and tried to take her phone back. The suspect turned around, punched the victim several more times in her face then walked out the lobby door. The suspect is described as a male Hispanic, between 25-35-years-old, he stands about 5-5″ tall and weighs approximately 180-200 pounds. During the incident, he was seen wearing jean pants, a white t-shirt with black printing on the front and back of the shirt and black shoes. Los Angeles: LAPD West Los Angeles Division detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that will lead to the arrest of the suspects responsible for a robbery in the West LA Area. On October 6, at around 5 am, two African-American males entered the 7-11 store located in the 11600 block of Wilshire Boulevard. Two employees, one of whom is the store manager, were working inside when the men walked in. One of the suspects made his way over to the employees and demanded one of them to the floor. The suspect then dragged the manager from the front of the store to the area behind the cash registers. Once the suspect and the store manager were behind the cash registers, the suspect ordered the manager to open the safe. When the manager said that he could not unlock the safe, the suspect demanded that he open the cash registers. Fearing for his life, the manager did as he was told. The suspect removed about two hundred dollars from one of the registers and then both suspects left the store. The store was equipped with a CCTV system that captured the robbery on video. The suspects are described as African-American males that appeared to be 20 years-old. They stood about 6 feet tall and weighed about 150 pounds. Detectives Seeking Help to Identify Robbery Suspect

Detectives Seeking Help to Identify Robbery Suspect Los Angeles: Detectives released a video that captured the robbery of a neighborhood mini market. The suspect produced sawed off shotgun, pointed at the cashier and demanded money. On August 12, 2011 at 1655 hours, the suspect entered a mini market located in the 5900 block of South San Pedro Street. The suspect told the cashier in Spanish that he was embarrassed but needed the money. The suspect immediately pulled a sawed off shotgun from his left jacket sleeve. The suspect demanded money and pointed the shotgun at the cashier. The cashier in fear for her life opened the cash register and handed the money to the suspect. The suspect took the money and walked out of the mini market. The suspect is described as a male Hispanic, 5′ 05″-5′ 07″, 190/210 pounds and 30-35 years of age. Hit & Run Driver Sought After Seriously Injuring Man in Crosswalk NR11370kr

Los Angeles: A 68-year-old man was critically injured while walking in a crosswalk after being struck by a sports utility vehicle. The driver never stopped. On the evening of Sunday, July 31, 2011, at about 8:20 pm, a motorist in a black 1990 Ford Expedition traveling northbound on Western Avenue struck the victim who was walking in the crosswalk northbound on 48th Street. The motorist failed to stop to render aid or identify themselves as required by law. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he is being treated for serious injuries that include two collapsed lungs, multiple broken ribs and head trauma. Detectives are asking anyone with information about this incident to contact South Traffic Division Detective Section, Investigator Jones at 323-421-2500.
