Official Police Garage B-Roll Now Available
Los Angeles: In order to provide the public with a clear and comprehensive understanding of the services provided by the Official Police Garage facilities throughout the City of Los Angeles, B-roll footage has been filmed and is now available. The footage covers interior and exterior shots of Official Police Garage facilities, functions occurring within the facilities including Inspection Hold Areas, the process of a vehicle being towed for a parking violation, the use of heavy duty tow trucks, and the use of Official Police Garage tow trucks at a collision scene. Detectives Seeking Help to Identify Robbery Suspect NR12058cj
South Los Angeles: Detectives released a video that captured the robbery of a neighborhood restaurant. On January 30, 2012 at 10:08 am, a man entered a restaurant located in the 6200 block of Broadway and walked directly behind the cashier counter. He pulled out a handgun and brandished it in front of the cashier and demanded money. The cashier, in fear for his safety, opened the cash register and stepped away. The suspect walked up to the register, removed the money and walked out of the restaurant. The suspect is described as a 25 to 27-year-old African-American, who stands around 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs about 170 pounds. He was wearing a black beanie, black pants and a black hooded sweatshirt. Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to call Newton Area Robbery Detective O’Brien or Detective Medina at 323-846-6572. Robbery Committed Inside a Bus
Los Angeles: Los Angeles Police Department Wilshire Division Robbery detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that would lead to the arrest of a suspect who robbed a 26-year-old woman inside a bus. On January 9, 2012, around 6:15 am, the suspect and the victim where both on a bus on Pico Boulevard at La Cienega Boulevard when the suspect approached the victim. The suspect struck the victim twice on the face and took her cell phone. When the bus came to a stop, the suspect got off and left eastbound on Pico Boulevard. The Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics treated the victim for minor injuries at scene. The suspect is described as a male Hispanic, 20-27 years-old, brown eyes, 5’6″ tall, weighs around 180-200 pounds and has a shaved head. He was seen wearing a black beanie, black jacket, checkered pants, blue and white shoes. Surveillance footage of the robbery can be viewed at www.lapdtv.org.
