Detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying two suspects who burglarized a business in the 1100 block of South Robertson Boulevard. On May 31, 2011, around 3 am, the suspects pried open the front door, kicked through the second door of a medical marijuana dispensary. Once inside, the suspects took medical marijuana, US currency, a cash register, and left the location in a light-colored minivan. Suspect No.1 is described as a 35 to 40 year old Black male. He stands about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs about 170 pounds. He is seen wearing a black beanie cap, dark rimmed glasses, a white and blue jog suit jacket, light blue jeans and dark shoes. Suspect No.2 is described as a 35-40 year old Black male with short black hair. He stands about 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs about 240 pounds. He is seen wearing a black jacket over a white shirt, dark blue pants, and dark shoes. Anyone with information about this incident or the suspects in these photos is urged to contact Detective Guevara, at (310) 444-1523. Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) Olympic Division detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that will lead to the arrest of a suspect responsible for a Robbery in the Olympic Area. On July 1, 2011, at around 3:16 am, an African-American male entered a Denny’s restaurant located in the 3700 block of Wilshire Boulevard. Posing as a customer, the suspect walked up to the front counter and placed an order with a restaurant employee. After the cashier opened the register the suspect pulled out a hand gun, reached around the counter and started to pull out money and the drawer from inside the cash register. Once the cash and drawer were in his hands, the suspect ran out the front door and into a black, non-descript vehicle and drove east on Wilshire Boulevard. The restaurant was equipped with a CCTV system that captured the robbery on video. The suspect is described as an African-American male that appeared to be in his mid 40s. He stood about 5 feet 10 inches tall with a medium build and was last seen wearing a black baseball hat, a stripped grey sweater, black shorts, and black shoes. Los Angeles. Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) Mission Area gang detectives are looking for two to three suspects involved in a gang-related shooting last month. On June 18, 2011, shortly after 8 pm, an 18-year-old Hispanic male left an apartment complex in the 8400 block of Langdon Avenue in North Hills and confronted a suspect who was vandalizing the front of an apartment building. While he was speaking with the tagger, a second suspect approached him and began shooting at him with an unknown caliber handgun, striking him in the torso. The victim then took cover behind a cement planter, and the two suspects ran to a waiting truck and left the area. Both the victim and the suspects are believed to be gang members. The suspects are described as follows: Suspect one, who shot the victim, is described as a 20- to 25-year-old Hispanic male with a shaved head. He stands between 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs about 225 pounds. Suspect two, who was tagging the apartment building, is described as a 17- to 20-year-old Hispanic male with black hair. He stands about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs about 120 pounds. The third suspect was driving the truck in which all three suspects left the scene. He is described only as a Hispanic male.
