Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department and Van Nuys Area detectives are asking for the public’s help to identify burglary suspects caught on surveillance video. On February 2, 2013, at about 3:50 pm, two suspects entered a jewelry store in the area of Coldwater Canyon Ave and Riverside Drive armed with hammers. Once the suspects entered the business, they started smashing the display cases and removing several watches. The owner tried to stop the suspects but was pushed away by the two suspects. The suspects with the items ran out of the location and into a light colored compact vehicle. The same two suspects were seen on a video in the store the day before posing as customers. Suspect one is described as a Hispanic male, 25-30 years old. He is 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall and weighs about 170 pounds. Suspect two is described as a 20- to 25 year-old Hispanic male. He is about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds. Los Angeles Police Department Hollenbeck Robbery detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that would lead to the arrest of a suspect who robbed a local market with a knife. On December 24, 2012, around 10:30 am, the suspect went inside a market located in the 600 block of Breed Street in the Boyle Heights area. The suspect walked in the enclosed cash register area, brandished a knife and demanded money from the cash drawer. In fear for her safety, the employee complied with the suspects’ demands. The suspect exited the store and was last seen riding away on a bicycle. The suspect is described as a male Hispanic, 25 to 35 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches and weighs about 200 pounds. He was wearing a black beanie, blue bandana, light blue sweater, blue shorts and black/white shoes. Los Angeles: A suspect used a handgun and an object resembling an explosive device to hold up a wholesale store along a busy street in the western part of Los Angeles. On March 16, 2012, around 8:40 pm, a suspect walked into a warehouse store in the 10100 block of Venice Boulevard holding a handgun and what appeared to be an explosive device. The suspect used the weapons to intimidate two store employees, forcing one to open a safe. After retrieving an undisclosed amount of money the suspect ran from the store. During the investigation Detectives discovered the stores surveillance camera had captured the suspects’ image when he entered the store on March 12 and March 15, 2012. He is described as a 50-year to 60-year-old male Black, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, 180 to 200 pounds. Detectives are asking for the public’s help to identify him. Los Angeles: LAPD Detectives are asking for the public’s help to identify three home invasion robbery suspects who tied up one victim during a robbery. On January 9, 2012, at about 2:35 pm, officers were called to a residence in the 12000 block of Dunblane Avenue to investigate a home invasion robbery that had just occurred. Officers discovered the suspects had forced their way into two different homes in the area, ransacking them and taking items of jewelry. One resident who confronted the suspects was tied up by them but not injured. They are described as two 20- to 25-year-old male Blacks, one 6 foot 3 inches tall weighing about 200 to 225 pounds and the other 5 feet 9 inches tall weighing about 170 to 180 pounds. When they ran from the residence, both ran to a waiting newer-model, white Chevrolet Traverse Sports Utility Vehicle with collision damage on the passenger’s front door, driven by a third suspect.
