Restaurant Robbery Suspects Captured on Surveillance Video NR12389SF
Los Angeles: Detectives are asking for the public’s help to identify two armed suspects who robbed a sandwich shop in Boyle Heights. On July 2, 2012, around 1:35 am, two men entered a restaurant in the 1800 block of Cesar Chavez Avenue. The first suspect jumped onto the counter, as the second suspect pointed a handgun at the employees and a lone customer. The first suspect jumped down and demanded money from the cash register while the second suspect continued to act as a look out. After receiving the money from the cash register, the suspects left the sandwich shop. The first suspect is described as male Black who stands 5’08”, and weighs approximately 140 lbs. He appeared to be 30 to 40-years-old with acne scars on cheeks. The second suspect is described as a male Black who stands 6’3″, and weighs approximately 210 lbs. He appeared to be 28 to 30-years-old with a goatee mustache and wore prescription black framed glasses. The restaurant’s surveillance camera captured the robbery on tape. LAPD Harbor Division Robbery Detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying a robbery suspect whose images were captured on surveillance video committing two robberies in the San Pedro area. On July 1, 2012, around 9:15 pm, a male Hispanic suspect entered a business located in the 300 block of Gaffey St and robbed the store employee, using a knife. The suspect took cash from the employee then fled the location on foot. On July 9, 2012, around 6:20 pm, the same suspect entered a business located in the 700 block of South Pacific Ave and robbed the store employee, using a knife. The suspect took cash and merchandise from the employee then fled the location. The suspect is described as a male Hispanic, about 20 to 25-years-old, stands 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs about 170 pounds. He was wearing white or silver rimmed sunglasses, a black t-shirt and black pants. Los Angeles Police Department Olympic Division Robbery Detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying a robbery suspect whose images were captured on surveillance video committing a robbery at a restaurant in the mid-town area of Los Angeles. On June 25, 2012, around 9:10 pm, a male Hispanic suspect entered a restaurant located in the 4200 block of Beverly Boulevard and robbed the store employee, using a handgun. The suspect took cash from the employee then fled the location on foot. The suspect is described as a male Hispanic, about 20 to 25-years-old, stands 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs about 200 pounds. He was wearing a black and white baseball cap, black jacket, black pants and black shoes. The suspect also had a “Ramirez” or “Ramiro” tattoo on his upper lip. Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Two Hit and Run Drivers NR12288kr
Los Angeles: A 66-year-old Los Angeles man was struck and killed by two hit and run drivers. On June 17, 2012, around 1:50 am, the pedestrian was crossing outside the crosswalk on Central Avenue south of 42nd Place. A silver Pontiac Grand AM with chrome rims traveling northbound Central Avenue struck the victim and left him lying in the roadway. Minutes later a green Chevrolet Suburban with tinted windows (possible chrome rims), also traveling north on Central Avenue, ran over the victim as he lay in the street. The victim was dragged nearly 200 feet under the Suburban. The driver of the Suburban is believed to be a male Hispanic in his 20’s with glasses and spiky hair. Detectives do not have a description of the Grand AM driver. The victim’s name is being withheld until his family can be notified.
