What it’s like to ride through Ontario Police Department’s DUI Checkpoint on Archibald and Chino. A few miles before the checkpoint, there were motorcycle cops waiting for checkpoint evaders. Evaders are questioned heavily by police and are often cited for illegal making an illegal U-turn. As I reached the front of the line, the police officer asked me if I was drinking or smoking marijuana. I answered no and he requested my driver’s license. It was in my backpack so it took me a few moments to retrive it.

Man Plays With Police At DUI Checkpoint
CCTV: Passer-by sticks out foot to trip up fugitive chased by Chinese cops
A resident in the Chinese metropolis of Shanghai who stuck out his left foot to trip up a fugitive on the run at a subway station has earned the name “Golden Left Foot” from Chinese citizens. On Dec. 21, police officer Sheng Song was on duty at the Langaolu Station of the Shanghai metro Line 7 when he found someone very suspicious lingering in front of a ticket vending machine. The suspect avoided eye contact with Sheng and could not provide identification. After checking his birth date in the online database by using his pocket device, Sheng confirmed that the suspicious man was a fugitive who might have been carrying weapons with him. However, another passenger, apparently aware of the situation at hand, extended his left foot to trip the running fugitive. This gave the chasing police officers time to catch up. Wang Dezhong, the Shanghai resident who aided the police, said what he did was nothing. He added that he would extend his foot again if he ran into something like this. SAPD:FR DUI Checkpoint and Chase
I’m in week 2 of a real life police academy for a village I’ll keep nameless in the state of NY. Here is a little practice of a criminal complaint in this scenario. The Complainant, being duly sworn by the San Andreas Police Department, makes complaint and states that there is probable cause to believe that the Defendant committed the following offense(s): Count I: Unlawful Fleeing a Police Officer in a Motor Vehicle (NY Penal Law §270.25) Count II: Driving while Intoxicated ( NY Penal Law §60.21) Count III: Reckless Driving (NY VTL 1212) Count IV: Speed Not Reasonable and Prudent (NY VTL1180a) At 1650 on 31 October 2012, I was conducting a lawful DUI Checkpoint in Flint County, mile marker 72. While talking with the first driver of the night, a truck headed northbound towards Whetstone sped past the roadblock which caused me to give chase. After briefly losing sight of Mr. Hancock, I observed his vehicle which had turned around and was now headed southbound. After performing a traffic stop, he pulled his vehicle over and handed me a valid San Andreas Drivers License identifying him as John P. Hancock. After a brief conversation, Mr. Hancock subsequently fled the scene which was pursued for approximately 70 miles in hazardous road conditions until myself and another state police unit detained and arrested the suspect at 0055 on 1 November 2012. -Ofc.
